News release issued by the Patiente Vertriedung concerning the direct healthcare billing
07.03.2018The introduction of the general third-payer system in the healthcare system means, that the patients only need to pay the self-participation costs fixed by the law. The rest of the amount is payed to the doctor by the National health fund. Some areas of the Luxembourgish health sector already have this system in place. Now the discussion is about putting this system in place for the entire health sector.
