CNS - Booking an appointment at a CNS agency

We would like to inform you about recent developments regarding the new appointment system at the Caisse Nationale de Santé (CNS). In response to our letter addressed to the Minister of Social Security and Health, we received a reply detailing the measures implemented to improve access to CNS services.

We are positively encouraged by the CNS's initiative to introduce a telephone appointment system in addition to the online system. This represents a significant advancement in facilitating access to services for insured persons who encounter difficulties using the Internet. We also commend the CNS's efforts to implement various organizational, technical, and human measures to reduce appointment waiting times.



However, despite these advancements, we wish to express a persistent concern. The new system no longer allows financially struggling insured persons to recover their money immediately after their medical visit, as was previously the case. This situation can create significant difficulties for those who depend on a quick reimbursement to manage their healthcare expenses.

The Patiente Vertriedung Asbl remains vigilant and continues to monitor the situation closely. We are in constant contact with the CNS and will intervene again if the necessary improvements are not made.
