This leave may be taken after a child was placed in quarantine, based on a decision by the practitioner of the Health Directorate in order to limit the spread of an epidemic.

The notion of quarantine is to be understood in the broadest sense of the term, i.e. the closure of schools, crèches and maisons-relais decided by the government – to limit the spread of an epidemic and make sure that the children stay at home – is one of the reasons for obtaining leave for family reasons.
